Track Your Investments Online

Keeping up with the state of your investments can seem like a full-time job -- indeed for some it is. However, we can help you reduce the amount of time it takes to track the state of your stock values. Just bookmark these sites:

• Use Kiplinger's free Portfolio Tracker to get price quotes and update the value of your holdings. Click on a stock for historical prices and recent news.

Seeking Alpha collects blog posts on most stocks and funds.

• Go to the source. Public companies usually publish a wealth of information on their Web sites.

• To get negative news, check 10Q Detective or Footnoted.org.

• For a fee, you can get independent research reports from Morningstar ($159 annual subscription) and Value Line ($598 per year).
