In our recent article "Can China Keep It Up?,” we discussed how despite the downturn in the global economy, China's economy continues to grow, albeit at a slower pace. While China cannot maintain this level of growth without a global recovery, it is still poised to become the most important economy in the world, surpassing the U.S. in its share of the global GDP sometime around 2020.
